HOST AN EXCHANGE STUDENT
Families are needed for teens from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America who will be spending the
2010/11 school year in the United States.
As a host family, you see American life from a new perspective and share a young person's excitement
at discovering the true USA. And, you get a preview of high school.
Families include the student as a member of the family, providing care and parental counsel. Students
have their own spending money and health insurance. The host family provides a bed and three meals a day.
AFS Intercultural Programs has an active chapter in Howard County. Families and students are supported
by local volunteers and AFS staff.
For more information, go to www.afs.usa.org or write or call Cindy Clemens at cindy.clemens@verizon.net
